How does pricing work?

Pricing for the VirtualSite platform [for Matterport users] is structured similarly to Matterport. Pricing is calculated on a per-site basis and has two components;

  1. a monthly subscription cost.
  2. once-off processing fee for additional scans (flat USD $10 across all plans)

There are three plans available - single, project and mega-project (see pricing for details). Each of these have a maximum number of "hosted" scans (e.g. a "single" site can have no more than 1 Matterport scan). Each plan also allows a certain number of "included" scans where users can add their Matterport scans to the site without incurring further processing charges.

Plan Examples

Single Site: setup a new site under a "Single Site" plan for USD15/month - this will allow you to add 1 Matterport scan to your site. For a "single site", there is no additional processing fee incurred as the processing for 1 Matterport scan is included in the price. Please note, it is not possible to add more than 1 Matterport scan to a "single site", if you wish to add more you will need to upgrade your site to a "project" or "mega-project" plan.
Project: setup a new site under a "Project" plan for USD30/month - this will allow you to add 5 Matterport scans to your site with no additional processing fee. Then if required, you can add more scans to your site at a cost of USD10 per scan up to a maximum of 10 (these additional scans have no impact on your monthly subscription cost).  If you wish to add more than 10 Matterport scans, you will need to upgrade your site to a "mega-project" plan.
Mega Project: setup a new site under a "Mega Project" Plan for USD50/month - this will allow you to add 10 Matterport scans to your site with no additional processing fee. Then if required, you can add more scans to your site at a cost of USD10 per scan up to a maximum of 25 (these additional scans have no impact on your monthly subscription cost) If you wish to add more than 25 Matterport scans, please contact us about customized pricing.

What is a site?

A site is a sandboxed entity within the VirtualSite platform and is accessible via unique URL such as https://cloud.veriscian.com/virtualsite/{your-unique-site-id}. Each site has its own unique permissions which allow users to easily share access with clients and collaborators. Sites have been structured to allow Matterport users to easily manage multiple projects with different clients easily and in an independent manner from each other. They also provide a way for clients and end-users to have direct control over who can access the scans. Sites are also the basis for pricing is calculated (see how does pricing work for more info).

Example scenario: your client is a contractor responsible for the construction of a shopping mall. They have engaged you to perform progress scans on the construction once per month over the course of the 6 month construction phase. You setup a new site under a "Project" plan with a unique URL https://cloud.veriscian.com/virtualsite/xyz-shopping-mall (see how to setup a new site for details). You share site admin access with your client which will allow them to add access for whoever they wish. Now, each time you perform a new scan of the shopping mall, you can add it to the site you have already setup (see how to add a model for details). Your client will then have immediate access to any new scans added to the site and will be able to explore, measure and download scans from the same convenient site.

Is my Matterport scan accessible to the public using Google Maps overlay?

No, scan content is kept completely separate from google maps and only overlaid on the map within the context of the site (see what is a site for details). This means any content is kept secure within the project team and not freely accessible to the public.
